Tonia Lach is the creator and lead instructor of the Body Journey Massage Experience®, a nationally approved certification program that artfully integrates sound healing, expert bodywork, and energy work. She teaches both certification and continuing education courses locally in the San Francisco Bay Area and nationally through the American Massage Therapy Association.

Tonia also specializes in the development and instruction of innovative spa treatments with clearly defined protocols. Her courses empower professionals to seamlessly incorporate sound therapy, energy work, and creative bodywork techniques into their existing services. She regularly collaborates with spa directors to design signature treatments that are both effective and unique, enhancing the overall guest experience and elevating spa menus.

Tonia Lach is a pioneering force in the massage industry, redefining bodywork as a transformational journey of the body, mind, and spirit. With over 32 years of teaching and practice, she has cultivated a deep understanding of what people truly seek on the table – an experience that goes beyond physical relief into profound restoration and energetic alignment. As an instructor, she is known for her warmth, wisdom, and visionary approach, blending ancient healing traditions with modern bodywork techniques. Her teaching style is grounded in a deep knowledge of the body. She offers students a clear, structured foundation while inspiring them to approach massage as a sacred practice.

““To touch with intention is to hold space for transformation. Massage is more than technique—it is an alchemy of presence, expertise, and connection. It is the antithesis of discord, a language of peace written through the hands.””

— Tonia Lach
